Order processing

Efficient exchange of orders via digital channels in Coupa

There are various options available to you for order transmission, the use of which entails lower or higher implementation costs. The selection of suitable options is best measured by the number of transactions. Regardless of the type of connection you choose, neither Rodenstock nor Coupa will charge you for the collaboration.

  • Order transmission by

    e-mail (SAN)

Order transmission by e-mail is the standard way of sending a purchase order. With this option, we only need the e-mail address to which our orders are to be sent in future. In addition, you have the option of confirming the order directly via the buttons contained in the e-mail (SAN - Supplier Actionable Notification). A further button also gives you one-time access to the CSP (Coupa Supplier Portal). This type of connection is recommended if you only receive orders from Rodenstock occasionally.

  • order transmission via

    cXML (direct connection)

cXML (commerce eXtensible Markup Language) is a protocol for exchanging data and provides a direct link between your ERP system and ours. In this way, order data is exchanged automatically and electronically. The connection via cXML requires a higher integration effort and is therefore recommended for a high number of orders.

  • Order transmission in the

    CSP (Coupa Supplier Portal)

The CSP offers you a comprehensive online service for processing transactions. We will gladly send you an invitation for a one-time registration. In this way, your company and Rodenstock are directly connected. After logging into the CSP, you can view all orders and their status online, maintain catalogs and master data or confirm orders. This connection is recommended if you receive more than one order per week from Rodenstock.
